Ms. Splosion Man explodes it's way to Xbox Live Arcade and gives you more Twisted Pixel Goodness.
After the success of Twisted Pixel's first XBLA release The Maw, they have produces great arcade titles every time. Ms. Splosion Man is the sequel to Splosion Man and it's one of their strongest titles yet. If your familiar with Splosion Man you should be able to pick up and play Ms. Splosion Man fairly easy. I say fairly because it's a hard game but still very enjoyable and full of humour, which we have come to know from Twisted Pixel.
Once again, an experiment has gone wrong in the Science laboratory and a Ms. Splosion Man has been formed. You must escape the lab and make your way across different obstacles, fight bosses and solve puzzles along the way. The controls are identical to Splosion Man. Pressing the A button allows you to explode. You can do this three times and then you will need to recharge by standing on the ground. Exploding allows you to reach higher surfaces and get around obstacles, it's also used to blow up enemies and objects.
Like I staited at the top, Ms. Splosion Man is a hard game. It mainly requires precise timing and coordination. They will be levels you get stuck on more than others, but what's great about Ms. Splosion Man is that it features a world map similar to Super Mario Bros. So if you get stuck on a level you can always take a different path and come back to it another time. Also, if you die on a level to often a message will pop up allowing you to just skip the level completely.
There's three different worlds to explore. Big Science City, Big Resort and Big Factory. These are span across 50 different levels and each one as a different ending. It doesn't end there though, online multiplayer also features 50 levels and they are all different as well. So the game is packed with a lot to keep you busy and if you like unlockables your in for a treat. Like all Twisted Pixel titles you can purchase items with currency you earn whilst playing. There's wallpapers, gamerpics, Avatar clothing and much more.
Ms. Splosion Man has taken the great formula from it's predecessor and simply made it better. If your a fan of Splosion Man you are going to fall in love with Ms. Splosion Man.
